お米を届けました
東洋大学校友会神奈川県支部は、過日、運動部応援の一環として、陸上競技部とボクシング部に魚沼産コシヒカリをお届けしました。
宅配便で送ると、それなりの料金がかかることから、田中副支部長が横浜から自家用車にお米を積んで、それぞれの合宿所に運びました。
それに対して、即刻、酒井陸上部監督からお礼のメールが来て、ボクシング部からはお礼の絵はがきが届きました。
私たち神奈川県支部は、年々歳々、臨機応変に支部の活動を工夫し、今回の取り組みも抜群のチームワークを発揮できたと思っています。
校友会は学生、ご両親ご兄弟・姉妹、そして東洋大学のために活動すべきであり、自分たちの主義主張、内輪の親睦のためにあるのではない、と思います。
神奈川県支部は、そんな当たり前のことを、日々続けていきたいのです。

The Kanagawa Branch of the Toyo University Alumni Association recently delivered Koshihikari rice produced in Uonuma to the track and field club and the boxing club as part of its support for the sports club.
Sending it by courier would cost quite a bit, so Branch Vice President Tanaka loaded the rice into his own car from Yokohama and carried it to each training camp.
In response, I immediately received a thank-you email from the track and field team manager Sakai, and a thank-you postcard from the boxing team.
Year after year, we at the Kanagawa Chapter have adapted our activities to suit the circumstances, and I believe that we were able to demonstrate outstanding teamwork in this effort as well.
I believe that the alumni association should be active for students, parents, brothers and sisters, and Toyo University, and not for the sake of advocating their principles and socializing within the circle.
The Kanagawa Branch wants to continue doing such a natural thing every day.
